Staff Accountant

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 annually Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Job Description Addison Group is partnering with a growing financial services organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role offers strong mentorship and long-term growth potential for someone looking to advance into a Senior Accountant position over time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Candidates should be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and contribute to a collaborative accounting team. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages Maintain accounts receivable activity and monitor outstanding balances Track accrued expenses, fixed assets, and lease schedules Assist with audit support and regulatory reporting requirements Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls Partner with management and accounting team members to resolve accounting issues and improve processes Utilize Excel and ERP systems to analyze and maintain financial data Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience within financial services, broker-dealer, or related industries preferred Military veterans with accounting experience are strongly encouraged to apply Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus EEO Statement Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
