Job Summary Join the dedicated Interventional Radiology team at OHSU Hospital in Portland, Oregon, as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. This role is integral to a collaborative patient care approach, working closely with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality care across a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The daily assignments are dynamic, encompassing a wide spectrum of procedures from central line placements to complex embolizations and stroke interventions. This position requires rotation between dual IR locations: South Waterfront/CHH2 and the 11A unit of the main OHSU Hospital building, ensuring comprehensive support across the system. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care utilizing advanced medical imaging techniques to assist Interventionalists in diagnosis and treatment. Perform radiographic procedures to demonstrate vascular and non-vascular structures for interpretation and therapeutic intervention. Deliver appropriate patient care, recognizing critical patient conditions essential for successful procedure completion. Ensure strict radiation safety protocols are followed for all patients and team members involved in procedures. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff. Operate and maintain specialized radiologic equipment. Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict sterile technique during procedures. Stock supplies and manage inventory to ensure readiness for procedures. Required Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience. Proven radiologic technologist knowledge, skills, and abilities. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Proficiency with Epic charting system. COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required. Preferred Qualifications Trauma Level I experience.
