Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical / Oncology

Schedule: Nights; every-other-weekend required

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13–26 weeks accepted
• Target Ratio: 1:6

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in inpatient setting
• Med/Surg experience required
• Oncology chemo certification (ONC cert) — must be able to administer chemotherapy if needed
• BLS certification
• State license: NC or compact license pending allowed for submission; license must be in hand at start

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with medical-surgical and oncology diagnoses.
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy, as well as manage blood product transfusions.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Manage IV therapy including ports access and care for central/PICC lines.
• Conduct wound care management including wound vac and ostomy care.
• Implement isolation precautions and utilize PPE appropriately.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 24 hours (2 shifts)
• Call requirement: If called off for a prescheduled shift, call-back obligation applies
• RTO: No RTO allowed after booking; additional RTO/call-offs may result in cancel/DNR
• Scrubs: Navy blue and white
