divh2IV Technician/h2pThis role is responsible for administering intravenous vitamins and fluid therapy. The IV Technician administers vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly to clients to support health and wellness under approved protocols and appropriate clinical supervision./ppEssential Functions/pulliAdminister peripheral IVs and run fluid therapy for IV treatments/liliMonitor the clients response to treatment throughout the infusion/liliManage and help prevent infections using proper sterile technique/liliAssess the clients physical health, including vital signs, general physical assessment, and mental status/liliIdentify contraindications to IV therapy and escalate concerns to supervising RN/NP/Physician as appropriate/liliObtain and document client vital signs as required/liliDocument all client interactions, assessments, therapies provided, and responses/reactions in the EMR/liliPerform all duties in accordance with clinic policies, protocols, and scope of practice/liliAll other duties as assigned/li/ulpQualifications Education / Certification/pulliCredentialed as one of the following: Registered Nurse (RN) Paramedic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- LPNs function under RN, NP, or physician supervision in accordance with Indiana scope of practice and clinic protocols./li/ulpExperience Skills/pulliMinimum 2 years of vascular access or infusion experience required/liliStrong venous access skills, including ability to access peripheral veins/liliExcellent IV catheter placement skills/liliKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical workflows/liliStrong attention to detail/liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills/liliStrong interpersonal and customer service skills/liliAbility to maintain patient confidentiality/liliAbility to multitask, manage stress, and work independently/liliDemonstrated problem-solving, time management, and sound judgment/liliDependable, reliable, flexible, and team-oriented/liliCommitment to ongoing learning and performance improvement/li/ulpPhysical Requirements/pulliAbility to speak effectively and communicate clearly/liliAbility to hear average conversations/liliRegular use of hands for typing and computer/mouse operation/liliVision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus (with or without corrective lenses)/liliAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted/liliAbility to stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for extended periods/li/ulpWorking Conditions/pulliEight (8) to ten (10) hour shifts/liliWeekdays with occasional weekends required/liliFull-time or Part-time or Per-diem/li/ulpHow to Apply/ppApply with your resume and include a short note answering: What interests you about IV therapy and holistic or functional medicine?/p/div
