Pay Range: $5,743.00 – $7,541.00 per Month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Job Description Under the direct supervision of the Community Resource Manager, the Muslim Chaplain will provide and supervise Muslim religious activities for the prison incarcerated population. Responsibilities include interviewing and counseling incarcerated people on ethical and moral problems and spiritual matters; preparing and conducting religious services and administering religious rites; organizing and instructing classes in religious and sacred music; supervising the arrangement of programs conducted in the institution by visiting religious and allied groups; counseling incarcerated individuals regarding family problems; serving as a group member or consultant to classification committees; and working with incarcerated groups and activities. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
