Knapp Medical Center is an award‑winning, not‑for‑profit hospital in Weslaco, Texas. With 227 beds, the community hospital specializes in emergency care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound care, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology. It is the only acute care hospital in the Mid‑Valley area and the only Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery in Weslaco. With more than 300 physicians on the medical staff and more than 450 employees, Knapp is one of the largest employers in the region.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Perform orthopedic surgical and non‑surgical procedures consistent with training and expertise.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care.
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, primary care physicians, and specialty providers.
• Participate in call coverage as assigned.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Adhere to hospital quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligible for or active Texas medical license.
• DEA license or eligibility.
• Strong clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills.
