Automation Engineer – Manufacturing & Commissioning Support Locations: Germantown, WI Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Not accepting C2C Role Overview We are seeking hands‑on Automation Engineers and Automation Technician Assistants to support the startup, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of newly installed automated manufacturing equipment within our Germantown facility. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and technical operations, supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), advanced troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities on customer‑integrated automation systems. You will work directly on the production floor alongside automation technicians to ensure equipment is fully operational, stable, and ready for high‑volume manufacturing. This is a highly hands‑on role focused on real‑time problem solving, equipment reliability, and production support in a healthcare manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Support automation technicians with end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), robotics, conveyors, and automated assembly systems Assist in execution of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for incoming equipment Provide troubleshooting support for automation cells and production equipment as a first‑line technical resource Diagnose and resolve issues with automated machinery including: Robots and EOAT systems Pad printers, sonic welders, heat stake machines, hot stampers Conveyors, degators, and secondary automation equipment Support production runs by identifying and resolving technical and mechanical issues in real time Perform basic robotic programming and setup support Set up and prepare automation cells including robots, EOAT, conveyors, and related equipment prior to production startup Identify unsafe equipment conditions and ensure proper safety compliance before line startup Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) requirements Learn and adhere to company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and safe work practices Assist in maintaining compliance with quality systems and operational standards Support continuous improvement activities and equipment reliability initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and engineering teams Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, automation, or technical support role Enrollment in or completion of a technical college or engineering technology program preferred Familiarity with conventional manufacturing equipment (mills, lathes, saws, hand tools, etc.) Forklift certification and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work directly on production equipment Preferred Qualifications Exposure to automation systems, robotics, or automated assembly environments Experience with machine troubleshooting or toolmaker/machine builder work is a plus Basic robotic programming or equipment setup experience Strong comfort working on the production floor in a hands‑on technical capacity #J-18808-Ljbffr
