Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional, patient-centered care, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with healthcare providers, and maintaining accurate documentation. This position requires adherence to nursing standards and legal regulations, fostering teamwork, and supporting continuous learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and education.
• Provide timely and accurate information to physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient care, including medications, vital signs, and intake/output, and develop individualized care plans within 24 hours of admission.
• Deliver direct patient care according to established standards, ensuring legal compliance and patient safety.
• Participate in orientation, staff meetings, in-service trainings, and special projects.
• Adapt to changes in the work environment and maintain effective working relationships.
• Promote a positive experience for patients, customers, and colleagues through excellent service.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and demonstrate initiative in job duties.
• Support a culture of trust, integrity, and teamwork aligned with organizational mission and values.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• One or more years of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current and unrestricted nursing license in the state of Washington.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles.
• Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles to meet patient needs.
• Respect for patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Effective organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, and reaching as required by patient care duties.

Work Schedule

Part-time PRN position with 12-hour shifts, averaging 40 hours per week.
