BILLING ASSOCIATE

Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Associate to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely processing of charges, payments, and adjustments, contributing to the smooth financial operations of our organization. Key Responsibilities: - Post charges, payments, and adjustments accurately into the billing system - Generate electronic or paper claims for submission to facilities, patients, and insurance companies - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to claims, including denials and rejections - Ensure compliance with billing policies and insurance requirements - Maintain detailed records of billing activities and communications - Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve processes Join our team and be part of a supportive environment that values accuracy, efficiency, and dedication to providing excellent care and service. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, CPT and ICD Codes. Education: Associate must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate must have one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical and Sensory Requirements: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices) Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hand and arms, frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to twist/bend/ sit, kneel, squat/crouch occasionally throughout the workday. Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must possess the ability to handle difficult/negative situations/people Must be able to work long hours Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Must be able to tolerate repetitive action computer keyboard. Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with co-workers. To push, pull move, and/or lift a minimum of 25lbs . to a minimum of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 5 feet. Working Conditions: Works in office area Sit, stands, bends, lift, and moves intermittently during working hours. Subject to frequent interruptions. Subject to hostile and emotionally upset customers and/or co-workers. Employee frequently required to work under stress. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
