Under the general direction of the Program and Project Supervisor in the Transmission Planning and Policy Section of the Energy Infrastructure Branch, the PURA III will perform a wide variety of analytical and consumer advocacy assignments related to planning for the electricity grid, including such issues as transmission planning to support renewable energy (both in California and inter-regionally), large-load and data center interconnection, grid enhancing technologies, analyzing the economics governing grid infrastructure investment, modeling transmission, electric safety, general rate case proceedings, and perform other related work in economic and policy analysis.

1. Describe your experience conducting economic, quantitative, financial and/or policy research and analyses, including planning the research, identifying data needs, using spreadsheets and analytical tools, and developing conclusions and recommendations.
2. Describe your experience communicating complex concepts in written and verbal form, including preparing testimony, reports, memos, and/or making presentations.
   
3. Describe your experience organizing and coordinating projects and working collaboratively with team members.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Understanding of, or interest in, electric utility transmission planning, especially to support large-scale renewable generation, large-load interconnection, benefit-cost analysis, and transmission modeling.
