Accounts Payable Specialist

Share Share Email Post Share Job Description: Accounts Payable Specialist Position Overview The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing, tracking, and reconciling payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, and reports. The ideal candidate will ensure timely, accurate, and efficient payment services in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Process high volume of invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely manner Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies Verify approvals, account coding, and documentation for accuracy and compliance Assist in month-end close by preparing accruals and reconciling AP sub-ledger to the general ledger Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong relationships with vendors Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments as needed Maintain organized and accurate files and records of all transactions Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational and time-management skills Customer service orientation and ability to work well in a team Required Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 1 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role Experience in accounts payable in the construction industry Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Understanding of general accounting principles and procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient Spanish reading, Writing and Talking Skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Foundation Software.
