Key Responsibilities:

• Provide peer support to patients, fostering a trusting and empathetic environment to promote recovery and wellness.
• Assist patients in navigating healthcare services, including mental health, substance use, and primary care.
• Support patients in understanding and managing their treatment plans.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care and ensure patient needs are met.
• Manage billing submissions related to peer support services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing policies.
• Document patient interactions and support activities in accordance with organizational standards.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to stay current on best practices and billing procedures.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery, preferred.

Previous experience in billing submission and familiarity with healthcare billing processes.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge of healthcare systems, insurance, and billing procedures.

Compassionate, patient-centered approach to support and care.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in peer support is a plus.
