Assistant Property Manager

Horizon Realty Group is a family‑owned and operated property management company established in 1980. Horizon Realty Group buys, remodels, and rents updated, high‑value apartments in a variety of iconic buildings. With 27 buildings in Chicago and one independent Senior Living Community in Evanston, IL, it is a well‑established operator. An experienced, sales‑oriented, driven Assistant Property Manager is needed. The role requires superior sales skills, self‑motivation, creativity in driving traffic, closing deals, and delivering first‑class customer service to current and prospective residents. The position also provides backup to some Property Manager responsibilities. Responsibilities Meet the goals and directives of the Owner. Show available/model units to prospective residents. Assist in all levels of the Portfolio’s overall financial success. Assist in all levels for the Portfolio’s overall performance (appearance, operation, relations, maintenance, and overall integrity of the building). Assist Property Manager in the management of the maintenance crew, when needed. Negotiate leases with current residents and prospective residents. Handle resident complaints and relations. Other duties as assigned by the owner and/or Direct Supervisor. Job Requirements Typing speed 30 wpm minimum. Excellent written and verbal skills. Must have a vehicle & smartphone. Must be able to work weekends. Computer/internet skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Suites, Yardi Voyager/CRM preferred. A “Can‑Do” attitude is a must. #J-18808-Ljbffr Merionevanston
