About the Role:
DLJ Spectacles Inc is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Optical Biller/Receptionist to join our team in Bay Shore, NY! Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical and vision insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
• Greet and check in patients, manage appointment scheduling, and maintain a welcoming front desk
• Post payments, manage accounts receivable, and follow up on denied or unpaid claims
• Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and coordinate with optical staff
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Assist with optical dispensing paperwork and frame/lens order tracking as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience in medical or optical billing 
• Familiarity with vision insurance providers such as VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision, or Medicaid
• Strong front desk and customer service experience in a medical or optical setting
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) or practice management software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a busy office environment
