If you like variety, ownership over your work, and being part of a tight-knit team that actually values you, we'd love to talk.Why You'll Want to Work HereReal stability, real growth - We're part of the PJ Dick-Trumbull-Lindy Group family of companies, consistently ranked among the Top 100 Builders nationally by Engineering News-RecordA culture built on values - Safety, Quality, Integrity, Family, and Community aren't just words on a wall hereCompensation that rewards you - Competitive pay and eligible for annual performance bonusFull benefits - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insuranceTime to recharge - Paid vacation and holidaysInvest in your future - 401(k) with company match AND profit sharing (yes, both)What You'll DoAs a General Accountant, you'll be the go-to person to manage and provide cost and related tasks to support the various divisions under The Lindy Group umbrella:Prepare, reconcile and process autopay invoices, including hourly trucking and certain tonnage trucking, material purchases and service providersPrepare, reconcile and process internal journal entries, including job accruals and internal truckingMonitor trucking inbox and resolve payment issues, directly with the vendor, for the above invoicesMaintain cost report for small, internal and miscellaneous jobs, including the preparation and submission of related timesheet and customer billingsPost and/or monitor cash receipts for a subset of our companies and serve as a backup for all othersPerform additional reconciliations on a weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly basis to maintain accurate and current accounting cyclesPerform additional assignments per direction of supervisor(s)What You BringEducational and experience requirements include: 4 year business or accounting degree plus minimum 2 years experience or equivalent combinations training and related experience. Working knowledge of general office procedures plus ability to organize and coordinate group work efforts required. Proficient research, supervisory and communicative skills essential. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in interpreting and applying Company policies and procedures.A note on the role: while some tasks are administrative, this is not a clerical or data-entry position.
