Financial Analyst

Job Purpose The role of a Financial Analyst is to create, generate, and analyze financial statements, reports, supporting documentation, forecasts, and special projects in a timely and accurate manner for internal and external reporting purposes. This is not a remote position. Candidates must be within commutable distance to Norcross and Atlanta Georgia. Key Responsibilities Prepare financial reporting packages and supporting documents Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results Provide ad hoc financial analysis and financial modeling to support business objectives Able to interpret financial statements and perform standard financial statement analysis and statistical calculations Creates and generates accurate and timely financial statements and other supporting documents Reconciles reports, account balances, and financial data to supporting documents Performs variance and margin analysis; creates trend reports and analysis Performs “what-if” analysis based on multiple scenarios and correlation of multiple components Able to extrapolate and create forecasts / pro-forma of financial performance Understands the flow of financial data from operations, to subsystems, to PeopleSoft GL and reports Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices. Ability to interpret and analyze programs, policies, and procedures regarding personnel and fiscal matters. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Demonstrated understanding of GAAP. Proven analytical aptitude. Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication capabilities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership team and C‑Suite partners. Strong organizational and follow‑up skills.
