Position Summary
Brivana Health is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals interested in working with children and families through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
This position is designed for candidates who may not yet hold the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. Brivana Health may provide or coordinate training and supervision necessary for eligible employees to work toward RBT certification.
Key Responsibilities
Work with clients under appropriate clinical supervision.
Learn and implement ABA principles and treatment procedures as permitted by training, credentialing, payer requirements, and supervision.
Support clients in developing communication, social, play, self-help, and daily-living skills.
Follow individualized treatment protocols developed by a BCBA.
Collect accurate data on client behaviors and skill-development goals.
Complete required session documentation accurately and on time.
Participate in required training, competency assessments, and supervision.
Learn appropriate prompting, reinforcement, behavior-support, and teaching procedures.
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Maintain professional boundaries and appropriate communication with clients and caregivers.
Follow company safety, incident-reporting, mandated-reporting, and compliance procedures.
Attend scheduled clinical meetings and training sessions.
Travel to assigned client locations when required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Interest in working with children and individuals with developmental or behavioral needs.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Reliable, professional, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
Ability to meet applicable background-check and employment-screening requirements.
Ability to complete required training and competency requirements.
Reliable transportation for positions requiring travel between client locations.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or college coursework in psychology, education, behavioral science, social work, healthcare, or a related field.
Previous experience working with children.
Experience in childcare, special education, behavioral health, healthcare, teaching, tutoring, or caregiving.
Interest in pursuing a long-term career in ABA, psychology, education, or behavioral health.
RBT Development Path
Eligible Behavior Technicians may be supported in completing the requirements necessary to pursue the RBT credential. This may include required training, competency preparation, BCBA supervision, and guidance through the certification process.
Continued employment in assignments requiring an RBT credential may be contingent upon successfully completing applicable certification, competency, background, payer, and company requirements.
Physical Requirements:
Depending on client needs, the position may involve sitting on the floor, standing, walking, bending, participating in play activities, transitioning between environments, and responding appropriately to client safety needs. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable law.
Schedule:
Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available. Client schedules commonly require afternoon and evening availability, although morning and weekend opportunities may also be available.
