JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Daily process audits. Perform quality inspections of valves. Track with Gage Track all devices for calibration. Assist with maintaining training records for all persons in respective productions cell areas. Have working knowledge of the NYAB IPM as well as Section J – AAR M1003. Work with Quality Manager as well as shop floor to maintain accurate and up-to-date documents and assist with Document Control Log. Staying observant at all times with respect to shop floor activities, notifying personnel, supervisors, management (both Plant and Quality) concerning any questionable practices or activities. Assist with ensuring that all written work processes are followed. Maintain a practical quality focus on all related issues. Assist with and support all quality initiative activities. Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies. Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations. Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions. Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree. Skills and Competencies Technical Capacity Demonstrate proactive and creative thinking. Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory. Working knowledge of requirements for calibration, training records and document control. Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic failure analysis for quality issues and test equipment. Basic computer skills Ability to read technical drawings and interpret with little support. Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills. Organization Skills Time Management Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred) Three to Five years of related experience.
