Outside Sales | Commercial Truck Sales | Southeast Michigan

M&K Truck Centers, a premier Mack and Volvo Truck dealership, is seeking a driven and experienced New Truck Sales Representative to join our team in Southeast Michigan.

This field-based outside sales role is responsible for growing market share through commercial truck sales, developing new business opportunities, and managing existing fleet accounts. Representing industry-leading Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks, you will partner with customers throughout the transportation industry to identify solutions that help their businesses succeed.

The ideal candidate has experience in B2B sales, fleet sales, heavy-duty truck sales, or related equipment sales and is motivated by building relationships, expanding territory growth, and achieving exceptional sales results.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial truck sales activities within an assigned territory, including existing fleet accounts, regional accounts, and prospective customers.

• Develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, cold calling, and relationship building.

• Grow and maintain strong relationships with fleet owners, transportation companies, owner-operators, and other commercial customers.

• Educate customers on Mack and Volvo truck product offerings, financing options, specifications, and available services.

• Prepare customer quotes, truck specifications, sales proposals, purchase agreements, and sales contracts.

• Utilize CRM software to document customer interactions, sales activities, opportunities, and account development efforts.

• Meet or exceed established sales goals, profitability objectives, and market share targets.

• Stay current on Class 8 truck, commercial vehicle, transportation, and competitor market trends.

• Collaborate with dealership leadership, parts, service, and financing teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

• Participate in manufacturer training, dealership meetings, and sales development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of outside sales, account management, or business development experience.

• Experience in commercial truck sales, transportation, heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, automotive, or other related industries preferred.

• Knowledge of the Southeast Michigan trucking and transportation market.

• Proven ability to develop new business while growing existing customer relationships.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and consultative selling skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

• Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL.

• Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented professional with strong time management skills.
