Restaurant Server (Part-Time)

Server Position

Job Overview: As a Server, youll be responsible for resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operations of the restaurant and bar, to catering and special events. This is a position for an individual who routinely exercises good judgment and exceptional problem-solving skills. As the face of the dining experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while maintaining standards and authentically delivering on our Values and Global Service Standards.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
• Must be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording resident choices; identifying Resident special dietary needs and special requests
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars
• Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to Resident
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor

• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job function
• Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
• Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday. Hours vary based off the needs of the business. What We Offer: As a part-time associate, you will be eligible for supplemental benefits to include dental and vision, as well as 401k with company match. Compensation: $15.00 per hour plus tips
