They are seeking a Department Manager to lead an established team responsible for sales growth, customer and supplier relationships, and overall business performance. This is a hands‑on leadership position combining team management, strategic planning, business development, and direct account responsibility. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales, trading, and product professionals Drive sales growth and profitability within the forest products division Develop and execute business development and market growth strategies Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and performance metrics Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, mills, distributors, and industry partners Maintain a portfolio of strategic customer accounts Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and business performance to identify growth opportunities Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support company objectives and department success Qualifications 5+ years of experience within the forest products, lumber, building materials, wood products, wholesale distribution, or commodity building products industry, required 2+ years of leadership or management experience leading sales, trading, product management, purchasing, or commercial teams Proven experience buying and/or selling commodity lumber, plywood, OSB (oriented strand board), panels, engineered wood products, or related forest products Experience managing customer relationships, supplier partnerships, and revenue growth Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends, commodity pricing, forecasting, and financial performance Demonstrated success developing business, growing accounts, and implementing strategic initiatives Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills Compensation Base salary in the 100k - 130k/year range Annual performance bonus Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Comprehensive benefits package #J-18808-Ljbffr AllSearch Professional Staffing
