Registered Nurse II - ART Endoscopy Procedure Nurse

Job Summary The Endoscopy Procedure Registered Nurse II on the Endoscopy Unit reports to the Nurse Manager. The RN assists with general endoscopy procedures, such as colonoscopy and EGD, and is responsible for on‑call rotations for emergent and urgent therapeutic endoscopy procedures, including nights, weekends and holidays. Key Responsibilities Perform endoscopic procedures and support the clinical team during patient care. Conduct instrument inspection, disinfection, and decontamination of endoscopes. Participate in on‑call rotation, including nights, weekends and holidays. Assist in patient transfer and safety procedures. Work Hours & Shift 32 hours per week. Monday‑Friday 7:30 a.m.‑6:00 p.m.; rotating nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties. Qualifications BA, BSN, or other nursing degree preferred. RN hired on or after July 1, 2013 with Associate or Diploma must enroll in an accredited BSN program within 2 years and obtain a BSN within 4 years. Minimum one year of registered nurse experience; one year of GI experience preferred. Licensure & Certifications Registered Nurse licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or American Red Cross). Physical and Mental Requirements Stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, work indoors and outdoors (temperature extremes), in elevated, confined and cramped spaces, from kneeling positions; bend and twist at waist; squat; perform pinching, gross motor, firm grasp, fine manipulation, reach overhead; repetitive hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder motions. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted; handle 50‑lb objects from floor/36 inch; lift 25‑lb overhead; exert up to 50 lbs force. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected and adequate hearing acuity. Work rotating shifts, overtime, latex safe environment; maintain tactile sense; respirator use when required.
