Medical Laboratory Scientist

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 5 days/week with rotational weekends Additional Job Details: We need someone who is experienced in general lab with vitro analyzers, siemens and XN sysmex. also, blood bank. Job Responsibilities: Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, and reporting of patient results. Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review/release test results. Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines. Identify and resolve issues affecting test performance or elevate to the supervisor when required. Work with laboratory instruments and automated analyzers in a clinical setting. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required (Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred). 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience preferred, especially in high complexity testing. Experience with Sunquest, DI/LIS systems, Siemens analyzers, XN Sysmex, and Blood Bank preferred. Physical and Mental Requirements: The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance. Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time. Frequent walking and/or standing. May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity. #J-18808-Ljbffr BayOne Solutions
