Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within our comprehensive home care setting, fostering a supportive atmosphere conducive to patient healing. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing exceptional care during regular business hours. Our facility promotes collaboration among team members, ensuring that you have access to shared knowledge and resources to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify each patient's unique objectives and needs through thorough evaluations and assessments.
• Manage an individualized caseload, seeing one patient per hour, ensuring focused and personalized interventions.
• Design and implement comprehensive care plans that utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques.
• Employ cost-effective strategies to improve patients' range of motion, mobility, and overall functionality, emphasizing non-surgical options.
• Motivate and encourage patients in their rehabilitation journey, helping them adopt healthier lifestyles that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring clear communication among care teams.
• Develop tailored fitness and wellness programs aligned with each patient's rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves patients with orthopedic needs, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. As part of a patient-centered care model, you will engage with individuals from various backgrounds, leveraging your expertise to help them regain their mobility and functionality. Our focus is on reducing reliance on medications through effective physical therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• A valid and current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A clean professional record, with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid track record of success in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Expertise in creating and executing effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR software for efficient patient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, with a proven ability to manage a diverse patient caseload effectively.
• A strong background in evidence-based practice and the application of various physical therapy methodologies.
• Experience working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. This includes health insurance, retirement plan contributions, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
