Employment Type: Part-time (15–20 hours per week)

Compensation: $28–32/hour based on experience

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to maintain a smoke-free and vape-free environment.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record required.
• Experience working with children, including meaningful experience supporting autistic or neurodivergent children.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred.
• Up to date on recommended vaccinations in line with American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines (including Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis A/B, COVID-19, and annual influenza), subject to applicable legal accommodations.

Proposed Schedule: Approximately 15–20 hours per week

Required after-school support: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons

• Begin around 4:00 PM with school bus arrival
• Provide after-school support through approximately 7:00 PM
• On some Wednesdays, flexibility to stay until 9:00 PM for occasional date night coverage

Additional household support: Approximately 5 daytime hours per week

• Focused on meal preparation, household organization, and family support
• Timing is flexible and can be scheduled based on mutual availability, with options including Tuesday–Thursday daytime hours or a flexible Monday or Friday shift

We are a lively, faith-based family of six with four kids who each bring their own personality, passion, and energy to the house. Our days are full of sports practices, school schedules, creative projects, and the normal activity of a busy family home. Both parents work full-time in professional roles and are out of the home most days, so we're looking for someone who can confidently help keep things running smoothly.

We love a healthy, whole-foods approach to eating, appreciate systems that work, and value a home that feels calm and organized even when life is busy. One of our children is autistic, verbal, and active, and thrives with an engaged, calm adult who can provide structure while also remaining flexible. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with children—whether that means shooting a basketball, building something imaginative, helping prepare for the next day, or simply being present and engaged.

Who We're Looking For

You may come from a background in family assistance, nannying, household management, education, special-needs support, or another role where you've learned how to anticipate needs and keep a busy environment organized. Prior professional household-management experience is welcome, but just as important to us are initiative, reliability, good judgment, and a willingness to learn.

You're someone who notices what needs doing and takes initiative without needing constant direction. You're organized and proactive, but also adaptable—you respect the family's routines and communicate before making significant changes.

A busy home with multiple children doesn't overwhelm you. You're warm and engaging with kids while bringing a calm, grounded presence to the household. You're comfortable communicating directly with parents, sending a quick update when helpful, and asking questions when you're unsure.

Above all, you're trustworthy, consistent, and someone the entire family can count on.

What Success Looks Like

• The home feels calmer and more organized.
• The children are cared for, engaged, and prepared for the next day.
• Weekly meal prep is completed.
• Household errands and recurring tasks are handled proactively.
• Parents spend less time managing household logistics and more time with their family.

Key Responsibilities

This is a 15–20 hour/week role, so we don't expect every household project to be tackled every week. Childcare, weekly meal preparation, and the household's most immediate needs come first; remaining time can flex based on what would be most helpful that week.

After-School & Child Support

• Provide engaged after-school support Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
• Help children transition home and prepare for the following day, including backpacks, lunches, clothing, and snacks.
• Assist with school transportation and kid-related errands as needed.
• Provide calm, engaged, and structured support tailored to each child's needs and personality.

Weekly Meal Preparation

• Complete an approximately five-hour weekly bulk cooking block, preparing family dinners and lunches using meal plans and recipes provided by the family.
• Prep healthy snacks and help keep the refrigerator and pantry organized.
• Clean and reset the kitchen following cooking sessions.

Household Organization & Errands

• Help reset and tidy high-use areas of the home and prepare for the family's professional cleaning team.
• Maintain household organization systems and tackle periodic organization projects as time allows.
• Manage household errands such as returns, dry cleaning, donations, gift purchases, and prescription pickups.
• Help maintain household inventory and restock groceries and frequently used supplies.
• Assist with seasonal clothing, sports gear, décor, travel packing/unpacking, and other household projects as needed.
• Handle simple household upkeep and identify maintenance needs, coordinating with the family or outside vendors when appropriate.

Family Administrative Support

• Help maintain the shared family calendar and household schedules.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and family logistics as needed.
• Help manage household orders, subscriptions, mail, and packages.
• Provide support with events, holiday, and travel preparation when needed.

Laundry & Home Support

• Help children manage designated laundry responsibilities and assist with linens and special garment care as needed.
• Keep household spaces and supplies organized between professional cleaning visits.
• Partner with the family and cleaning team on occasional deeper organization or seasonal reset projects as time allows.
