Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant 2 is the first point of contact for patient care, responsible for both clinical and administrative duties. The role performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting all information into the electronic medical records system. The MA collaborates closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, delivering direct patient care as permitted by certification. The position interprets departmental policies and procedures, works within defined parameters to meet quality standards, and exercises discretion over prioritization and timing. Required Skills and Qualifications Successful completion of a Medical Assistant school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or equivalent experience (5+ years) and approval from Provider. High school diploma or equivalent. CPR certification. Role requires patient‑facing duties and participation in the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program; all applicants must be screened for TB. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration). Phlebotomy experience. Medication/vaccine administration experience. 1+ years of MA experience. Experience in Value‑Based Care, knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication. Schedule & Compensation Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: $43,000 – $56,200 per year. Compensation may vary based on location and individual qualifications, experience, education, and certifications. The position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
