Job Description

Forklift Operator – Shipping & Receiving

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced logistics warehouse team. This position is ideal for someone looking for stable, long-term employment with the potential to become Temp-to-Hire based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

Safely operate a sit-down forklift throughout the warehouse.
Load and unload pallets from trailers and trucks .
Rack and retrieve pallets safely at heights of approximately 4–5 rack levels .
Move, stage, organize, and properly store products throughout the warehouse.
Perform Shipping & Receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
Use a computer and warehouse systems to enter, review, and update shipment and inventory information.
Verify quantities, labels, paperwork, and product information for accuracy.
Assist with inventory control and maintaining an organized warehouse.
Follow all warehouse procedures and forklift safety requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Work as part of a team to meet daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse goals.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent forklift operating experience required.
Must have recent experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or logistics environment .
Must be comfortable racking pallets 4–5 levels high .
Must have experience loading and unloading trailers using a forklift.
Previous Shipping & Receiving experience required .
Must be comfortable using a computer for basic warehouse, inventory, and shipping/receiving functions.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a strong attendance record and be dependable, punctual, and reliable .
Must be willing to follow safety procedures and company policies.
We are looking for candidates interested in long-term employment , not short-term or temporary work.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced forklift operator who takes safety seriously, has strong Shipping & Receiving knowledge, is comfortable working with computers, and can independently handle warehouse responsibilities. Candidates should have a positive work attitude, good attendance, and a desire to grow with the company.

Employment Type: Temporary with potential for Temp-to-Hire
Experience Required: 2+ years of recent forklift experience
Environment: Logistics / Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving
