Office Assistant I, Cardiology Consultants at Medical Arts Pavilion I ChristianaCare Cardiology Consultants at Medical Arts Pavilion I is looking for a detail-oriented, adaptable, and highly organized Medical Office Assistant I with strong communication skills and the ability to proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Location: Newark, Delaware. ChristianaCare Cardiology provides comprehensive, specialized care across all areas of heart health. Work Schedule Monday - Friday: 7:30am to 5pm (hours may vary, will not exceed 40 hours/week). No weekends or holidays. Responsibilities The Medical Office Assistant I handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments. They manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff. The role includes updating patients, scheduling tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, resolving patient issues, supporting administrative tasks, and following safety protocols, with additional duties as needed. Qualifications High School Graduate or GED required. Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
