About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP Divisional Finance to serve as the primary financial partner to the Division President. This key role is pivotal in driving profitability, efficiency, and growth within the division. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including divisional financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. A hands-on approach is essential, as the VP will be expected to prepare detailed analyses that inform leadership decisions and provide operational finance support across various functions such as land, sales, construction, and purchasing. The role also involves leading the division's financial processes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and overseeing financial controls to maintain compliance with corporate standards. Applicants for the VP Divisional Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with a Master's degree preferred, and 8-12 years' of progressive experience in finance and accounting, particularly within the homebuilding or construction industry. Strong knowledge of FP&A, cost accounting, financial controls, and operational finance is required, with experience in land acquisition analysis and homebuilding financial metrics being a plus. The role demands advanced financial modeling, Excel, and ERP/reporting skills, and a CPA is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and influencing skills, be comfortable in both strategic and analytical roles, and have the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to the Division President and leadership team.
