Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Quality and Food Safety and Sanitation teams and developing, monitoring, and enhancing the Quality Management System at Revival Gourmet. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance to GFSI standards, federal guidelines for foods, customer requirements, and state and local regulations. Role Responsibilities Essential functions of the role, but are not limited to the following: Create and revise processes and procedures to ensure compliance. Design, schedule, perform and oversee training to ensure company-wide understanding and compliance to the above. Maintain and verify QMS programs which impact Food Safety and Quality including, but not limited to Food Defense, Sanitation, Pest Control, Process Control, CAPA, Recall, Internal Audit, Nonconforming Materials, and Foreign Materials Control. Lead the CAPA team in ensuring investigations are carried out, and corrective and preventive actions are implemented and effective. Lead Quality and Sanitation teams by providing resource, coaching, and staffing support. Lead 3rd party audits including GFSI, ODA, Customer, Kosher, Organic, and FDA audits. Effectively interact and partner with Manufacturing to ensure product compliance. Ensure equipment qualification/validation procedures are available, current, and adhered to. Participate in budget planning and ensure direct departments operate within agreed upon budget. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Quality Management Systems creation and maintenance in a food manufacturing environment. PCQI-certification. Working knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiatives (SQF, BRC, IFS, FSSC2200); HACCP and its application; Kosher; USDA Organic; and Non-GMO standards. Data analysis and problem-solving using quality systems tools and defined methodologies including CAPA, PDCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, etc. Personnel performance management, staffing, and coaching of staff to enhance the competence, qualification, execution, and effectiveness of reporting team members. Ability to communicate with stakeholders clearly and concisely regarding changes, compliance gaps, staffing challenges, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Food Science, Chemistry, or related discipline. Minimum of 10+ years' experience within the Hot Fill, Dietary Supplement, Food, Drug, Medical or related regulated industry. Minimum of 3 years in a management role. Experience interacting with regulatory agencies. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily an office setting, with frequent warehouse and manufacturing environment exposure (noise, dust, forklifts, temperature fluctuations).
