Role Description The Commercial Lines Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time (Mondays & Fridays). This role is responsible for assisting in the managing of a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including handling renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and coverage inquiries. The Account Manager will work closely with clients to identify and assess risks, recommend appropriate commercial lines coverage, and coordinate with carriers to secure competitive terms. Daily responsibilities include responding to client service requests, preparing proposals, reviewing policies for accuracy, and assisting with claims reporting and follow-up. The role also involves collaborating with producers and team members, maintaining detailed account documentation, and supporting the agency’s commitment to high-quality customer service and risk management. This position is on a team with an Account Executive, who is responsible for the renewal process. This role will work together with the Account Executive on all accounts. No primary responsibility for client relationships required. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Commercial Lines Coverage and Insurance, with the ability to explain policy terms and options clearly to clients. Strong Account Management skills, including managing renewals, policy changes, and client relationships across multiple commercial accounts. Proven Customer Service abilities, with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and maintaining long-term client satisfaction. Relevant experience in an insurance agency or brokerage environment; Texas Property & Casualty license. Proficiency with agency management systems and standard office software, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. EPIC agency management system experience required!! Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a hybrid work setting and build professional relationships. Preferred education: associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
