Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Overview
Registered Nurse - PACU opportunity in Nashua, New Hampshire. This travel assignment is a 13-week contract starting 09/21/2026, with 40 guaranteed hours per week on a Days shift in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,573 to $2,593 per week. This is a travel - temporary assignment with a hospital-based unit focusing on post-anesthesia recovery care. Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care in the PACU, following medical staff directives and hospital policies.
- Maintain unit-specific competencies for caring for critically ill patients; document care plans comprehensively and in a timely manner.
- Communicate patient information effectively for continuity of care through handoffs, walking rounds, and physician/provider interactions.
- Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives; contribute to a Just Culture environment and escalate issues via the chain of command.
- Collaborate with the nursing team and other departments; assist in mentoring nursing staff and students; participate in peer review and readiness activities for regulatory surveys.
- Support peri-procedural care, including sedation documentation; may assist with specialized procedures (Flow wire, Opsens, IVUS) as assigned; demonstrate knowledge of contraindications and reversal for IV adenosine infusion.

Requirements
- Current New Hampshire RN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required (except for Pre-Admission Testing and Operating Room)
- 3 years critical care experience preferred
- Basic dysrhythmia knowledge preferred or obtained prior to orientation
- New Hampshire Institute of Special Studies (NHISS) certification preferred or obtained prior to orientation
- CPI training preferred or obtained prior to orientation
