Are you ready to realize your potential?The PositionThe Director-Cardiometabolic is Responsible for leading the Program Management team and supports strategies that maximize access to therapies. Responsible for driving best in class solutions while driving budget and program efficiencies. This individual will maintain a high level of collaboration and integration with all field teams, Brand Marketing, Training, Market Access & Public Affairs, Trade, Legal, Compliance, Finance, HEOR, and Market Research. The position has high exposure to senior management and requires a highly motivated individual who can work cross-functionally & independently to accomplish objectives.RelationshipsReports to the Senior Director, Patient Support Solutions. Key internal relationships include brand marketing, market access, commercial insights and analytics, sales, medical/CMR, legal, compliance, and regulatory. Other internal relationships include Public Affairs, Government Affairs & US Corp Giving & Social Impact. External relationships include relations with patient/caregiver consultants and key opinion leaders (KOLs), professional organizations, customers and patient support service providers and organizations.Essential FunctionsCardiometabolic StrategyCollaborate and innovate with key cross functional stakeholders including MAPA and Marketing on operationalizing innovative strategies and evolving the overarching PSS strategy for WegovyLead cross-functional team to deliver on multiple prioritiesWorks closely with Sales, Marketing & Market Access teams to ensure the design and execution of high-impact program strategies that support patientsResponsible for communication and engagement strategies between field sales, marketing and reimbursement support partners to ensure awareness and escalation of reported issues and customer concernsSupport all current and future launch products. This includes developing the post-script optimal Patient journey and leadership of Patient Support HUB suppliersAssess competitor services and market dynamics to anticipate future trends, related to both market offerings and consumer/user behavior needs and expectations, to develop and deliver appropriate solutionsLeads the strategy, development and ongoing optimization of Patient and HCP Patient Support Program communications, education and database related to PAPFunction as subject matter expert on patient support solutions and collaborate cross functionally to design and implement programs that compliantly support the company’s patient support objectives for inline and launching brandsOversee existing patient support programs, manage team responsible for day-to-day operations with a focus on operational excellence in support of the patient journeyOversee development of SOPs and business rules related to all US patient support. Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory requirementsFiscal ManagementAccountable for the establishment, ongoing management and oversight of program budget across multiple programs. Demonstrate fiscal discipline and accountability to effectively and efficiently manage team performance through appropriate metricsOversee the management of overall NNI relationship and performance with vendors:Review and approval of various contracts; maintain contract compliance requirementsMonitors vendor performance via regular status meetings, monthly reporting and calibration callsNegotiate and execute contracts / SOWs in partnership with procurement, finance and other stakeholdersCustomer SupportAttends key customer meetings to proactively remain up to date on changes and related needs for patient supportDevelops recommendations and lead team to implement program changes to ensure ongoing compliance, industry competitiveness and operational excellenceCollaborates with internal and external stakeholders in development of Patient Solutions technologyPhysical Requirements10-20% overnight travel required.Development of PeopleSupervisory. Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent required, MBA-preferred12+ years of progressive business experience/marketing and/or sales/operations experience required5+ years of experience with patient support hubs, specialty pharmacies and/or healthcare institutions requiredCustomer facing experience required, Cardiometabolic/ Diabetes/ Obesity experience desiredAgency/Vendor management experience requiredAbility to lead and collaborate on cross-functional teams requiredAnticipates problems and roadblocks to avoid crisis managementMust have proven track record of developing accurate short- and long-term business plans, results and follow-upMust have solid understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace including legal, medical, regulatory and clinical processesDevelops accurate short- and long-term plans, forecasting, and business analysisEnsures timely execution and follow-up. Meets deadlinesIntermediate proficiency in Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel requiredThe base compensation range for this position is $187,000 to $300,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
