Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing critical emotional and social support as a Mental Health Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position is based near Oxford, Michigan, and focuses on working directly with general education elementary students in both individual and group settings. Collaborate with educators and school staff to enhance the mental health climate, offer professional learning opportunities, and contribute to the implementation of positive behavior programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree is required (no exceptions)
• Active Michigan licensure through LARA, or eligible credentials as outlined by the Michigan Department of Education
• One of the following credentials is required:
  • Licensed Master’s level Psychologist or Social Worker (or limited licensed, under supervision)
  • MDE credentialed Master’s level School Psychologist or Social Worker
  • Licensed Master’s level Marriage and Family Therapist or Professional Counselor (or limited licensed, under supervision)
  • School Counselor License, Michigan Teaching Certificate with School Counselor endorsement, or other approved school counseling credential (must meet requirements if temporary)
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to student-centered support
• Experience working in school settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social-emotional support services to students
• Provide classroom or building-level supports as needed
• Support positive behavioral interventions and collaborate with teachers
• Participate in professional learning and contribute to school improvement efforts
