Make an impact working with elementary students as a contract Social Worker for the 2026-2027 school year! This assignment begins in early November and wraps up at the end of December, providing essential coverage during a maternity leave. You’ll support two elementary campuses, offering vital services to a diverse caseload of young learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid School Social Worker license or eligibility for Michigan certification
• Previous experience in an educational or child-focused setting is strongly preferred
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to develop and implement individualized plans and provide crisis intervention
• Strong sense of professionalism, compassion, and adaptability

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect support to elementary students, including assessments, counseling, and advocacy
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success and well-being
• Coordinate and implement interventions and supports based on student needs
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports as required by school and state regulations
• Facilitate communication between school, home, and community resources
• Assist in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) where appropriate
