Performance Test Engineer - Charlotte, NC (Hybrid, 3Days/week Onsite)

Job Description:

Must Have Skills:

• 7 plus years of experience in Performance Testing of Java-based applications and distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with JMeter and/or BlazeMeter (7 plus years) for load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
• 5 plus years of experience with Selenium for test automation and regression testing.
• Proven experience in test case design, test script development, test execution, and results analysis.
• Strong understanding of application performance metrics, bottleneck identification, and performance tuning.
• Experience analyzing JVM, application server, database, and infrastructure performance.
• Ability to create performance test strategies, test plans, and performance reports.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with development, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Nice to Have Skills:

• 1 plus year of experience using GitHub Copilot, Devin, or other AI-assisted development/testing tools (AI Agents).
• Experience testing and validating applications for ADA (Accessibility) compliance.
• 1 plus year of experience with Playwright for modern web application automation.
• 1 plus year of experience writing and optimizing SQL Server queries for test data preparation, validation, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, or similar platforms.

In this contingent resource assignment, you may:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Note:

• On-site interviews in Charlotte required, team will suggest times.

Intake:

• Supports RAPU, Regulatory and Policy Updates. Application is policy governance platform, number of users have increased over the years.
• Test engineer will improve the performance of the team and tools.
• Will be the test engineer assigned to a scrum team, other scrum team have other test engineers.
• Work on Kanban model. When stories progress and become ready, they are passed to the engineer to do automation testing and update the performance script.
• The team has monthly releases, but contractors don't usually participate, they stay at 40 hours.
• Backfilling resource who reached full tenure.

Top Skills:

• 7 years of Java application testing
• 7 years of Jmeter or Blazemeter (Client is using Blazemeter as the base tool in WF)
• 5 years of Selenium

Nice to Have:

• ADA Compliance application testing (front of the line)
• Playwright (front of the line)
• AI agent assisted development testing (Copilot/Devin)
