Our client, a leading Energy Company are seeking to hire a Corporate Counsel to join their team which will support project finance, M&A, and commercial transactions across solar and battery energy storage projects.
About the opportunity:
- Compensation Range: $240,000 - $260,000 base + Bonus (25-30%)
- Work Module: Hybrid (3 days in, 2 days remote)
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll partner with commercial teams to structure, negotiate, and close complex deals while advising on business strategy.
- Key responsibilities include leading financing and M&A transactions, negotiating loan, partnership, and purchase agreements, coordinating due diligence, and managing outside counsel.
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, support internal teams, and advise executives and the Board on key transactions.
- JD, active license, and 4+ years of law firm or in-house experience in renewable energy project finance and M&A.
- Strong problem-solving, commercial judgment, and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Experience with construction agreements, procurement, or power purchase agreements is a plus.
