Job Description Ace Hardware Distribution Centers support hardware stores. In our Fredericksburg Distribution Center we need a Maintenance Mechanic to support the growth of our operations. Responsibilities Complete maintenance on power equipment – forklifts, high reaches, pallet jacks. Maintain and repair scrubbers, compactors, balers, fans. Repair and perform maintenance on the conveyor system and rearrange all rack systems when necessary. Perform preventive maintenance on all facility systems: electrical, plumbing, fabrication, relamping, construction as needed. All other duties as assigned. Work schedule: Sunday through Thursday 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Job Requirements At least 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance. Conveyor maintenance experience is a plus. Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Previous experience with industrial power tools. Other Requirements Must be U.S. citizen or legal alien. Must be 18 years of age. Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this job and safety regulations. Must have valid licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position. Must successfully complete forklift training.
