Meriwether Godsey is looking for Temporary/On-Call  Catering Servers : individuals who enjoy providing our guests with the finest food and drink, accompanied by an attentive and positive attitude, at George School, a boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 in Newtown, PA.

Must be available to work: 

• Temporary/On-Call as needed: nights and weekends for special events

• Pay rate: $20 Per Hour 

What you will do:

• Set up tables, linens, chairs, and serving stations for full-service banquet events.  
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area to facilitate workflows and minimize safety hazards.  
• Greet and welcome guests, and respond to specific requests in a courteous manner.  
• Serve beverages and foods in the designated order and quickly remove dishes at the end of each course, meal, or function; replenish beverages and check with guests to ensure satisfaction.  
• Collect used dishes and utensils from tables and return them to the dishwashing area  
• Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service  
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness  
• Reset the banquet as specified by Management to ensure readiness for other functions.   

What you need:

• Must be able to pass an FBI background check 
  
• Food Service/Serving experience (1-2 years preferred)
  
• Exceptional customer service skills  
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills  
• Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and job duties  
• Ability to stand/move about for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs.  
• Ability to handle high-volume customers  
• High School Diploma or equivalent  
• Reliable Transportation
