Pharmacy Technician Specialist

Working remotely, the full-time Medication Access Specialist will streamline patient intake processes, navigate insurance requirements, and enhance medication access while acting as a liaison among patients, pharmacists, and providers. Key responsibilities Lead the medication intake process and serve as a liaison among clinic providers, staff, pharmacies, and patients Conduct benefits investigations to determine patient coverage and identify available financial assistance programs Communicate medication options and financial resources to patients while monitoring insurance status and addressing access issues Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of three years of pharmacy experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers focused on medication access State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration obtained within 2 months of start date, if applicable Preferred: Active CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA Preferred: Two years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, including medication authorizations and preadmission processes
