Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician . The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting in providing effective and preventive machine/equipment/building maintenance to enable the company to maintain optimum production capability and product/service quality assurance. With Safety at the forefront. The training period expected to be a year depending on level of experience and technical skill. This role is located in Reading, PA and will be fully on-site. Pay & Growth Opportunities Start strong: 8 weeks of paid training on first shift at $26.17 per hour Boost your pay: After training, enter the bonus pool, earning $4.00+ more per hour Shift options: 2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm or 3rd shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Career path: Opportunity to bid on other roles Responsibilities Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Assist in the maintenance of all process equipment within the facility. Learn the preventative maintenance schedule Assist in building maintenance Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools Proficient in the operation, preparation and shutdown of equipment. Proficient in welding, pipefitting, hydraulics, electrical (3 phase 480, PLC knowledge) and machine repair. Cross training required in the roll grind shop Trained and follow hot work program Trained and follow working at heights program Trained and follow Arc Flash program Able to be approved to wear a tight-fitting respirator requiring fit testing. Able to be certified in forklift operation Able to be certified in High lift operation Maintenance Technician Qualifications: Must be mechanically inclined. Minimum of three years of electrical experience (3 phase, 480v). Willingness to learn welding, pipefitting, hydraulics, and machine repair. Able to work overtime or on call. Able to work with minimum supervision. Pick up ordered maintenance parts, as needed utilizing the company van. - drivers license required. Qualifications Joining Wieland's team gives you...
