This role is instrumental in delivering critical infrastructure safely, on time, and within budget, while adhering to regulatory and environmental requirements. Key Responsibilities Oversee all phases of construction transmission projects from initiation through closeout Collaborate with engineering, procurement, environmental, land services, and construction teams Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans Manage vendor contracts, bid evaluations, and change order processes Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies Prepare regular project reports for stakeholders and senior leadership Lead project meetings and interface with internal and external stakeholders Support outage planning, permitting, and community engagement as needed Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of project management experience in utility or energy infrastructure Deep understanding of transmission line and substation construction Proven experience managing capital budgets and construction schedules Knowledge of relevant codes, permitting processes, and utility regulations Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SAP) Preferred Qualifications PMP certification or equivalent Familiarity with FERC/NERC and utility regulatory frameworks Experience coordinating with government agencies and stakeholders Field construction experience or PE license a plus EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
