Social Media Manager

Midland Radio is seeking a strategic and highly organized Social Media Manager to lead the company’s organic social presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X. This role will own platform strategy, content planning, publishing, audience growth, community engagement, and performance reporting. The Social Media Manager will prioritize platforms based on business value and audience opportunity, recognizing that each channel may require a different strategy, content mix, and publishing cadence. The position will work closely with the Creative Team, Marketing Project Manager, Public Relations, Customer Service, e-commerce, and other channel partners. Key Responsibilities: Develop platform-specific strategies, goals, content pillars, and growth plans. Own and maintain the social media content calendar. Plan content for product launches, promotions, campaigns, events, and seasonal initiatives. Write and adapt social copy for each platform and audience.[OH1.1] Plan, coordinate, and execute social media giveaways to help promote brand awareness and or grow social following and email/SMS subscriber lists. Schedule and publish content using social media management and native platform tools. Partner with the Creative Team to develop photography, graphics, video, and short-form content. Manage YouTube publishing and optimization, including titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists, Shorts, and channel organization. Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and community conversations. Coordinate customer-service responses and coordinate sensitive issues to Public Relations or leadership. Track audience growth, engagement, reach, video performance, traffic, and other relevant metrics. Compare performance year over year and use results to improve future content and platform strategies. Monitor trends, platform updates, audience behavior, and competitor activity. Support social content for influencer, affiliate, partnership, paid media, and user-generated content initiatives. Provide occasional social coverage for priority events and product launches. Required Qualifications Three or more years of professional social media experience for a brand, agency, or similar organization. Experience managing strategies and content calendars across multiple social platforms. Demonstrated success growing audiences and improving organic engagement. Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X. Experience planning short-form video and managing YouTube content. Strong copywriting, editing, and brand-voice skills. Experience with social publishing, scheduling, community-management, and analytics tools. Ability to interpret performance data and turn findings into actionable recommendations. Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. A portfolio or examples of social content, campaigns, or measurable audience growth. Preferred Qualifications Experience with consumer products, e-commerce, retail, outdoor, or lifestyle brands. Basic photography, videography, or video-editing skills. Experience with Sprout Social or a similar platform. Familiarity with social commerce, influencer content, and paid social amplification.
