Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary:

Grafton Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in Dayton, OH. As a key member of our custodial staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our patients and residents. Housekeeping Supervisor is a full-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the housekeeping team, providing guidance and training to ensure effective cleaning and maintenance of patient rooms, common areas, and facilities

• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure a high level of cleanliness and compliance with infection control guidelines

• Conduct regular inspections of patient rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met

• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inventory, and supply usage

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth operation and address any issues or concerns

• Ensure all housekeeping staff receive proper training on infection control, fire safety, and other necessary procedures

• Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities manager

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• 0+ years of experience in housekeeping or a related field

• Strong leadership and supervision skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred
