Contract | Night Shift | 3×12 or 4×12 Hours (19:00-07:30) | Every other weekend coverage (subject to change based on unit need) | Float to like units or other facilities may be required based on census needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
• Administer and monitor IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, anticoagulation, and thrombolytic therapy
• Perform and interpret cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKG; assist with defibrillation and cardioversion as indicated
• Assist with thoracentesis and maintain non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Float to qualified like units or other campuses as needed based on census - staff will only float to units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented
• Complete pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; modules are completed prior to start and are completed annually

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with Epic EMR
• Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90-99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate - candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (Night shift Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care: candidates 50+ miles from the contracted campus may be considered; 50-99.9 miles subject to reduced rate; under 50 miles is ineligible)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac stepdown or progressive care setting
• First-time travelers with strong relevant clinical experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Experience with vasoactive drug administration and antiarrhythmic drug therapy in a stepdown or telemetry environment

• Pre-assignment orientation modules may be reimbursable for up to 16 hours of completed time, verified upon contract start
