As one of the fastest-growing platforms in our space, we are focused on operational excellence, technical expertise, and building a high-performing team.The Project Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the financial success of Corvant's projects by partnering closely with Operations, Project Management, and Finance teams. This position is responsible for monitoring project financial performance, ensuring accurate cost tracking, and supporting key operational accounting processes throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Financial ManagementManage project financials including cost tracking, budget monitoring, and variance analysisPerform project cost transfers and adjustments to ensure accurate job costingPrepare and maintain project cost reports for Project Managers and leadershipSupport month-end close activities related to project accountingBilling & Accounts PayableManage project billing, including preparation and submission of AIA billing documentsTrack, prepare, and submit Accounts Payable (AP) payment requests, ensuring proper approvals and timely processingSupport the change order process, including documentation, cost analysis, and system updatesVendor & Subcontractor CoordinationCoordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs)Assist with procurement activities including material sourcing and vendor coordinationEnsure compliance with OCIP and CCIP requirements as applicable to assigned projectsDocumentation & Cross-Functional CollaborationUtilize document management tools (e.g., DocuSign) to route, track, and store critical project documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiencyPerform additional duties as assigned by the Project Accounting Manager or Vice President of Accounting & FinanceQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2+ years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or a related fieldSolid understanding of job costing and project-based accounting principlesKnowledge and experience with AIA billing processes and documentationMust be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete Form I-9 upon hireEmployment subject to E-Verify confirmationSkills & AbilitiesStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Viewpoint or similar platforms)Familiarity with OCIP and CCIP requirements and complianceExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skillsPreferred BackgroundExperience in construction, mechanical contracting, or a similar industrial services environmentFamiliarity with multi-entity or multi-location accounting structuresExperience supporting high-growth or rapidly scaling operationsCorvant is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
