Computer Engineer

Computer EngineerArcfield is currently seeking skilled and motivated full-time Computer Engineer to support on-site at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC). You will support Code 34 Radar In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) Team. Tasking will include analysis, design and capability enhancements, testing support, and in-service support for new and fielded Radar Systems.Duties and Responsibilities:Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at both NUWC lab and within the fleet.Analysis for and development of Engineering Change Instructions and Engineering Change Proposals.Perform gap, fault/failure, and performance analyses.Document and present trade studiesInvestigate capabilities and applicability of unique testing environments to support required testing objectives.Perform impact analysis of testing on related systems/subsystemsPerform and/or support factory acceptance testingDevelop program status reports such as technical assessments, risk assessments, technical recommendations or technical informationQualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science.BS and 0-2 years experienceTechnical writing and presentation skills required along with a strong proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with process improvement methods, practices, and procedures (i.e., CMMI) is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environmentStrong documentation and communication skillsUnderstanding DoD engineering design practices is a plusAbility to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance. Active or very recent security clearances are a plus.Must be able to travel 10% of the time.Be able to hands on with hardware components and software.Equal Pay ActThis is the projected compensation range for this position.
