Job details Job # 37034, "Sr. Beta Operations Manager": In this role, you will be a highly visible leader and operator playing a key role in defining how we beta test our most important innovations with customers. You will work on topics that range from defining our product beta testing strategy to the nuts and bolts of beta operations.
As the Sr. Beta Operations Manager, you will build and own a scalable internal & customer-facing model for product beta testing in close collaboration with teams across Product, Growth, Field, and Operations. You will guide Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, Technical Program Managers and others on how to plan, execute, and learn from beta tests to maximize the impact of our product innovation.

Responsibility
Own the overarching beta program strategy, encompassing the establishment of priorities, standards, operational frameworks, and robust governance models.
Drive the development and widespread adoption of beta testing best practices, leveraging comprehensive internal and external research, and continuously iterating based on emerging insights.
Oversee the development and strategic management of essential resources, tools, and processes that underpin best practices in beta testing, including the creation of impactful training materials, comprehensive entry/exit criteria and checklists, optimized communication channels, and insightful dashboards.
Design and orchestrate high-impact beta progress reviews, actively engaging and influencing senior leadership across the organization, including the Chief Product Officer and Chief Operating Officer, to ensure alignment and critical decision-making.
Provide expert strategic guidance to product teams throughout the planning and design phases of individual beta tests, encompassing objective setting, meticulous consideration of participant volume and profile, cohort segmentation, effective recruitment/invitation tactics, and the precise measurement of success.
Develop and champion streamlined processes and sophisticated tools for beta initiative intake and tracking, delivering cross-platform insights to maximize organizational visibility and drive widespread adoption.
Strategically partner with Insights and Analytics teams to ensure all beta outcomes are rigorously measured through an established measurement framework that directly aligns with key customer outcomes and critical business decisions.
Proactively identify and escalate critical risks and strategic decisions required to maximize learnings from beta tests, significantly enhance the customer experience, and ensure the successful General Availability launch of products.
Monitor and report on key operational metrics, own the identification of areas for strategic improvement, and design and operationalize initiatives that drive continuous enhancement of the beta program.

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required.Minimum 2 days per week;

What you bring
- BS/BA degree or equivalent in work experience
- 12+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in a management consulting, strategy & operations, or program management role
- Previous work experience in SaaS and/or customer innovation programs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively build relationships with teams across the organization
- Passion for experimentation and learning from customers; education or professional background in statistics, experimental design, user research, or related field is a plus
- "Knows enough to be dangerous" regarding the product development process (testing environments, agile methodologies, etc.)
- Agile mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and taking a "first stab" at how to approach a new question
- Active listener, able to effectively moderate discussions between product management, go-to-market leaders, and executives to drive consensus
- Strong steward of our values, customers, and business; willing to engage in difficult conversations with emotional intelligence
- Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently
- Low ego; loves to make others shine and no task is too small for achieving results
- Critical eye with data, metric definitions, and presentation materials; able to provide constructive feedback to improve program results
- Talented at simplifying complex content, decisions, and processes
- Ability to identify and articulate operational risks that may impact product delivery timelines and quality
- Comfort in synthesizing business requirements and guiding technical partners to develop or improve operational workflows, reports, and dashboards
- Proficient in Salesforce, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
- Experience with SQL, Confluence/Jira and/or Tableau is a plus
