Business Data Analyst - III

Visualization & SQL Developer / Sr. Engineer Data Science

Location: Alpharetta, GA / Basking Ridge, NJ / Tampa, FL / Irving TX (Hybrid – in office 1 day/ 3rd Wednesday or the month)

Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

Non-negotiable:

• Will be Visualization & SQL Developer (VZ job title would be - Sr Engineer Data Science)
• Someone who has expertise & familiarity with variety of BI visualization tools (Preference order – 1. Tableau, 2. Qlick & 3. Looker – need to be strong in 1 of the 3) – currently operation with these 3.
• Exp. in SQL – proficiency working with complex & large data sets, with the need of doing multiple joints and other conditions within SQL as lot of stuff is in very large disperse datasets.
• Initially they will have the support but slowly will be expected to do everything individually in talking to the business and talk on the findings.

Day to Day:

• They will be spending a lot of time writing SQL.
• Creating Visualization & dashboards in one of the BI tools – (Tableau, Qlick, Looker)
• Working in JIRA platform to manage the workload and understand the prioritization.
• Will be attending the calls periodically with stakeholders and internal customers – understand their needs and to clarify anything to gloom the tickets.
• Make sure they have solid understanding on what the requirements are.
• Then work with the IT partners to locate the data that is necessary and then fashioning into the visualizations and insights to help the business forward.

Additional to above:

• Operate in Teradata environment currently, exposure to other data sources with SQL such as and Oracle, GCP, and any other SQL will be fine if the experience is similar.
• Programming experience like Java, C++ or any that sort is great but not required.
• Python or R is also fantastic but not required.
• Some preprocessing of data, ability from ETL standpoint is good as well.
• AI/ML exp/ exposure is good to have but not mandatory.
• GCP exp. is great but not mandatory.
