Assignment Details:

Specialty: Gastroenterology
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Location: Georgia
Practice Setting: Inpatient
Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call
EMR: Epic
Assignment: Ongoing PRN coverage

Responsibilities:

24-hour inpatient call coverage
Round on existing GI inpatients
Perform GI procedures as needed
Manage emergency department and inpatient GI consults
Handoff care to the local GI team at the end of the assignment
Adult inpatient population

Required Procedural Experience:

Bread-and-butter Gastroenterology
ERCP experience required
Upper GI endoscopy (EGD)
Colonoscopy
GI consults and inpatient procedures

Requirements:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Active Georgia Medical License
Active Georgia DEA/CSR
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Clean malpractice and background history for expedited credentialing
Must be local to Georgia (no flight travel)
Self-Query NPDB report (completed within the last 30 days)
